The goal for this project was to open up the space as much as we could by removing two columns, several bulkheads, and a few walls. The new custom cabinets with a toffee glaze were brought up to the ceiling and the larger kitchen window instantly brightened the space. We went with a contrasting cherry island to tie in with the new flooring throughout the main level. Cambria quartz countertops and a complimentary matte glass subway tile work beautifully with the cabinetry. The herringbone detail above the range is a pretty detail, but the real show piece in the space is the waterfall edge countertop on the island.
