While this kitchen is not the largest, replacing the original dark cabinets with lighter custom cabinets has made the space feel warm and inviting. We added more functionality by removing the old typical closet pantry to make room for the refrigerator, which is now surrounded by pantry cabinets with rollouts. The soft white cabinets are topped with quartz countertops with an eased edge and finished off with brushed nickel bin pulls and knobs. The walnut accent piece on the custom range hood ties in nicely with the new walnut hardwood floors, which are even prettier in person. Open shelves and beveled subway tile added instant character to this kitchen. We completed this renovation with new 5-panel interior doors, updating the bar area between the kitchen and living room, and renovating the powder bathroom to match the cabinetry and countertops in the kitchen.
