These homeowners, a young couple with two small children, were in desperate need of more space and higher functionality in their master suite. Bumping out two walls, adding a small amount of square footage to their bathroom, allowed us to provide them with a double vanity, a free-standing tub, and a shower that has all the bells and whistles (body sprays, handheld on a glide bar, and a rain showerhead). The homeowners knew they loved the look of marble, but did not want the maintenance, so we were able to source for them a porcelain tile from Italy that is nearly identical to the real thing. The large 24×24” format set closely gives the illusion of a marble slab running up the wall, while the chair rail topper is a classic detail. Adding an additional 46” wide window above the tub provided much needed natural light. The bathroom is rounded out with a large vessel sink with two wall-mounted faucets, and a backlit and front lit mirror with Bluetooth speakers flanked by cabinet towers with interior lit drawers. This timeless design with modern functionality really fit the bill for this young couple.
